Travel Medicine and Vaccination Clinic: Pre-travel Health Consultation and Travel Immunization
At our interdisciplinary travel medicine vaccination clinic, you will receive tailored advice from specially trained doctors. Our consultations are customized to your travel destination and travel style to ensure you are well-prepared.
We offer comprehensive travel consultations, reviewing your existing vaccination status and administering any necessary additional vaccines. Additionally, we provide malaria prophylaxis if needed and valuable tips for assembling your travel pharmacy. Our experts also inform you about health-related aspects such as hygiene, diet, and behavior in your travel destination to protect your health during the trip.
Officially WHO - Approved Yellow Fever Vaccination Center in Hesse
As an officially approved yellow fever vaccination center in the state of Hesse, we stock all necessary travel-related vaccines. Special vaccines can be ordered if required.
Appointment Hours and Contact Information
Our appointment hours are Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesday from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM. To schedule an appointment, you can email us at reisemedizin@ukffm.de or call us at 069-6301-5033 (phone hours: Monday and Wednesday from 8:30 AM to 12:00 AM). Please note that we do not offer phone consultations; an in-person consultation at our clinic is always required.
Costs and Reimbursement
The costs for travel medicine consultations as well as any necessary vaccines or medications must initially be covered by you. You can pay by debit or credit card, or we can send you an invoice afterward. Prices are based on the German medical fee schedule (GOÄ). Many health insurance providers reimburse some or all of the travel-related medical expenses as part of their voluntary benefits. Please check with your health insurance company to find out whether a reimbursement is possible in your case.
Important Information
Please bring your vaccination record (yellow vaccination certificate or any other record of previous vaccination) to the consultation. We recommend scheduling an appointment approximately 6-8 weeks before your trip to ensure all necessary vaccinations can be administered in time. Last-minute appointments closer to your departure date are also possible, but due to high demand, immediate availability cannot always be guaranteed.
Our doctors and staff speak German and English. If you require assistance in another language, please bring someone to translate for you.
Here you have the option to complete our travel medicine intake form before your appointment.
Please print out the form, fill it in, sign it, and bring it with you to your appointment (for data protection reasons, please do not send it by email!).
Of course, you can also receive the form at the reception when you check in on site.
